This is just the beginning. A few years ago I received a document about the family history at a family reunion.I read through it and packed it in a box. Well a few days ago I found it and thought that it would be a good idea to bring it back. You know every time we go to reunion we spend time learning about our family. As with some of us we never quite seem to put it all together. I remember that every time I used to go home to North Carolina I would stop by and see Daniel Martin, Moms dad. My wife Laverne and I would sit with him in his wine house and sip on Muscadine wine that he had made. I would ask him many questions about his life. He drove a bulldozers and made golf courses for a living, built and paid for his house and loved his children.He also had an awesome garden. I played baseball in the field behind his house and attended his church that was just a stones throw away from the house.When you called him he would say " hey old sport" He was a good guy!

My Name is Michael Russell.I am descendant of the Martin Family on my mothers side. This is my attempt to keep the work that Pete Whitmore did years ago, alive on the web for years to come. Our family history dates back from the Civil War.
